Bottle Cap molding is a method to obtain molded products by injecting plastic materials molten by heat into a mold, and then cooling and solidifying them. The method is suitable for the mass production of products with complicated shapes, and takes a large part in the area of plastic processing. There are many advantages to the blow molding process over other forms of plastic product manufacturing. Blow molding is a cost-effective alternative to injection molding, with both production and machinery being cheaper typically.

Blow molding works well for products that are one single piece. It can produce objects that do not require assembly or the connecting of halves. Therefore, particularly effective for containers that requires exterior threading.

Blow molding also reduces flash. Flash is the little burs or plastic bleed around seems of products. This excess plastic from the production process requires extra finishing work to sand off or remove it before a part can be shipped. Blow molding techniques create a little-to-no flash, resulting in quicker turnaround times for blow-molded products.

Compression has enjoyed a perceived king-of-the-hill position with respect to productivity for a long time, particularly for certain types of closures. That picture has changed dramatically in recent years, as injection molding solutions have surpassed the capability of compression molding, particularly for single-piece closures. This is particularly evident in the lightweight water bottle closure mould segment.
